The crude candle lanterns made from discarded building blocks, broken glass and recycled coral fragments evolved into a decorative functional artform. These oil burners and intricate candle lanterns came in three Australian nature themes.
Thousands of these were laboriously hand carved assembled and sold for intimate dining tables and to tourists from across the world.
